It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…and I’m a little confused with this survey about fast food. We love our fast food … but folks were asked what would you give up, to be able to pig out, guilt-free, on whatever you want for the rest of your days? A new survey found that the average person in Pa. would give up five years off their life to continue eating fast food. Did I read that right? You would be willing to shave 5 years off your life to eat fast food guilt free? Kind of ironic since fast food has been linked to obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes and various cardiovascular condition’s that could shave 5 years off your life anyway. In total, 3,222 people were studied about their attitudes toward fast food and the sacrifices they’d be willing to make. In some places, like Montana, North Dakota and Hawaii, folks said they’d trade as much as 12 years to no longer have to worry about nutrition labels. 12 years of your life? I guess the attitude is, so what, you could be hit by a bus tomorrow so, Eat!!! And forget about that after dinner mint, since we’re shaving off lives, got any smokes?
