It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

… today is election day and the polls will be open until 8 tonight and considering that elections are what makes the beating heart of democracy work, I think today should be a national holiday or at least have it on the weekend just in case work prevents someone from letting their voice be heard. Especially when you have reports of people standing in line for hours at some polling places to just cast a vote or drive out of town to get to one. At least some states make it easier not harder to cast a vote by allowing early voting. Oregon is the most convenient state to cast a vote because it’s all done by mail. All registered voters get a ballot three weeks in advance to fill out and mail back. No voting machines, no wondering where your supposed to go to vote plus there’s a paper trail. The cool thing about election day is that it’s pretty cheap to let your voice be heard cause it don’t cost nothing but your time. Oh, plus the fact that all those annoying campaign attack ads filled with dirty laundry will finally go away just in time to deck the halls with commercials filled with what you need for Christmas. At least their cheery ads. Ho Ho Ho!
