…back on the air after taking a long weekend off and for at least one of those days I had a couple of million reasons why it could have been an even longer weekend off but I didn’t have the winning Mega Millions ticket. Yeah you’ve got people who say; “oh I’m not going to quit my job just because I’m a mega million winner”. Well I got a million reasons why that idea will go out the window if your numbers hit. I mean the minute you buy the ticket your mind starts to wonder and dream about how your life would instantly change with all that money. Sure it’s a noble thought of not letting all that money change who you are but how can you think about work when you’ve got thoughts of just how big an RV you’re going to need for that cruise across the country in. Not to mention the boat you may be towing in case you come across a nice lake or two. Of course you could keep your job but how soon will it be before you don’t worry about how many PTO days you’ve got left. Yeah, just like in the song, “these are a few of my favorite things” and that’s what goes through my mind just moments after walking out of the store with what I hope is the winning ticket. Then the drawing happens and just like that my air balloon pops and all those happy thoughts of prosperity disappear right along with it. Next thing you know your wondering just how many PTO days do I have left?
