…feeling like a turkey wondering why I never attempted to watch Game of Thrones especially since it features a giant flying fire breathing Dragon and now Ice Zombies. It certainly peaked my interest but not enough to tune in. Today is the season finale for the medieval fantasy and to celebrate Arby’s is selling giant turkey legs in as they say, 9 different kingdoms around the United States, which is weird since there are only 7 Kingdoms in Game of Thrones. One of those kingdoms chosen to offer the giant turkey legs, which weighs in at one pound is Pittsburgh which according to what I’ve read was chosen because “it is a land that features powerful rivers, defined by the trident of the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio”. But the only place where you can buy a turkey leg is the Arby’s on McKnight Rd in the North Hills. The funny thing is that most folks can’t recollect any turkey legs being consumed on Game of Thrones but as they say it sounds more appealing than a bowl of brown or jellied calves’ brains that I don’t think you can even buy at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival but is a place where you will find the aroma of turkey legs roasting. You know Arby’s should throw in a free Chalice with every purchase so you can pound an Iron like a true king while watching the show. It’s a ‘burgh thing!
