…but are we really on the backside of winter or does Mother Nature have one more surprise for us. Remember when we were expecting 4-6 inches of snow Tuesday but instead got a bunch of excuses as to why we didn’t from local meteorologists whose first name didn’t start with Joe, who back in the day whenever he said it would, it did? Well, the day before I planned to get my tires rotated but was told that due to the loss of tread it would be a waste of time. I told them I purchased the tires from them and they came with a 65 thousand mile warranty which was well short of that. So they pro rated a new set of new tires with the same warranty at a substantial savings so I said go for it. About a half hour later they came and said, “we only had 3 in stock so we put 2 new ones on the front and 1 with the old tire on the back and will call you when the 4th tire comes in.” I’ve heard of pay for 3 and get the 4th for free but never buy 4 and get 3. Well by Thursday they still hadn’t called, like they said they would. That’s when I looked at my receipt which said I bought 4 not 3 and nothing was written saying they would call when the 4th tire came in which made me nervous. Was I going to be ripped off? Am I going to have to cause a stink and record everything on my iphone? I actually had trouble falling asleep Thursday night. So by Friday afternoon and still no phone call I showed up to see what was going on but before I could say a word they said your tire is in and you’re up next. Apparently no one there is named Joe or they would have called, like they said they would.
