When Hell Freezes Over…

…was the answer Don Henley gave when asked in 1982 if the band would ever get back together and play again which of course they did in 1994 but now with the passing of Glenn Fry, Don Henley told the Washington Post back in November “there are no Eagles without Glenn Fry.” He went on to say “I don’t see how we could go out and play without the guy who started the band. It would just seem like greed or something. It would seem like a desperate thing.” Well, what is it Don, greed or desperation that has you putting the band back together. While, it’s not a full blown tour word has it that the Eagles are joining forces with Fleetwood Mac for an East and West Coast festival in July. The details are scant, but each gig is said to be taking place over two days in July at New York’s Citi Field and L.A.’s Dodger Stadium. It would mark the Eagles first full-scale concert since Glenn Frey’s death last year. No word on who, if anyone, will replace Frey in the group’s lineup, although Jackson Browne who along with Glenn wrote “Take It Easy” subbed for him during the bands tribute to Frey during the 2016 Grammy’s. And just like when they used the Henly Quote to call their early ’90’s tour and album Hell Freezes over they could use Henleys new quote and call it “The “Greed and Desperation Festival.” What do you think?
