Our cat of the week, Tasha, is a 3-month-old grey and white tabby kitten with a long life of love ahead of her. Dogs of the Week: Ember & Ash

Our dog of the week is another two-fer! Meet: Ember and Ash, one-year-old mixed-breed pups, with tan and black fur, hovering at a great carrying weight of 20 pounds. These siblings were brought to us by the dog warden at the end of July. Ember is shy but sweet, happiest in your lap or trotting along by your side. Her brother Ash is just as loving and devoted, though it’s clear they’ve been through a lot together. During his intake exam, we discovered buckshots in both of Ash’s front legs. Despite what he’s been through, he’s resilient, affectionate, and still trusts people.

These two would love nothing more than to go home together, where they can frolic and give you double the love. They’re great with other dogs and humans. If you decide to visit them, know that you may become one of those people who takes your dogs with you everywhere, possibly in a stroller or a bag. I hope you can handle that much love.
