It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…and the fastest 2 min in sports but the longest pre game show in history well except for maybe the Super Bowl but only by a nose has come and gone. My wife loves the Kentucky derby. It’s the only sporting event she will not miss. Now she doesn’t watch the entire pre race festivities but she was tuned in 3 hours before post time because she nor I knew that post time wasn’t until 6:57. Every year I think its 5pm but I guess that’s the time she usually puts the TV on so as not to miss it. Not sure when the announcer said “and there off” off but my question is why Carly Pearce was singing the national two hours before post time. I heard the anthem and thought its show time but another race was run prior to the big one. Why didn’t she sing it before the very first race that was even run that day? In every other sporting event you get the anthem and then the game shortly there but not in Kentucky. No instead you get ad’s telling me how I still got time to place a bet on the race while watching it on TV a couple of states away. Not sure if the Anthem was sponsored but someone paid to have a plane fly overhead with an only fans account written on a banner. I guess for future reference I should wait till I hear the guy who blows the bugle to let me know its race time because it certainly won’t be after the singing of our National Anthem.
