It’ the Kielbasa Kid …

…and talk about stuff blowing in the wind. You know it’s kind of weird when you see something that’s supposed to be one place but ends up somewhere completely different. Take the radio stations dumpster for example. I’m cruising into work one morning and there sits our dumpster on the street across from the entrance to the radio stations parking lot. I know it’s been windy around here lately but windy enough to move a dumpster? Apparently so. It’s a parking lot that our dumpster had to travel across several parking spaces to be able to find itself across the street from the radio station Thankfully the only thing parked in its way were a couple of radio station vehicles which it managed to miss completely on its journey through the parking lot. The weird thing about this is that it’s happened twice in less than a month. It was also weird to get a call from 911 asking if I knew our dumpster wasn’t where it was supposed to be. That’s how windy it got. Of course, the guys who pick up the trash by using the trucks mechanical arms to lift the dumpster to deposit its trash into the garbage truck should make sure that the dumpster is put back where it belongs. We’ve got these cement tiles in front of the dumpster to keep it from rolling away and across the parking lot and down the ramp and on to the road. But I noticed on the day of the most recent high wind warning the cement tiles were off to the side of the dumpster and wondered gee, am I going to see a repeat the next morning? Yep. I think the problem has been corrected but man, talk about it being windy around here lately and it’s not even kite flying season yet.
