It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…and last Saturday I spilled some gas in the trunk of my car and can’t get rid of the smell which is something that Jay Leno wishes only happened to him. He suffered “serious burns” while working on one of his cars at the Los Angeles garage where he stores them. The former Tonight Show host is currently recovering at The Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital in Los Angeles, California. He told ET that he got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. That he’s OK. Just need a week or two to get back on his feet which is good to hear and its nothing life threatening which makes my spilling gas a minor but stinky problem. Figures I would do something stupid like this when driving around with the windows down is no longer an option. Well, it could be but I’m not into making it any colder than it has to be right now. I went to the store and bought upholstery cleaner for the car and a can of what was called odor eliminator, it’s supposed to smell like leather, went out to the parking lot and right to work on the trunk interior scrubbing to where I thought I spilled the gas. Then I sprayed the odor eliminator stuff all over the car including the trunk where the accident happened, got in it the next day but still smell gas only I guess with a hint of leather. I really didn’t think I spilled that much but I guess it was enough. Thankfully the smell is not like a lethal fume smell, or I just might have done a Jay Leno after resorting to striking a match. Ever do that to get rid of skunk smell? It works but after the 4th match all I can say is it kind of smells better. What really sucks is I smell gas when I’m not even in the car. It’s not as bad as it was, and the major smell is still in the trunk so I doubled down on the odor eliminating leather smell and if it continues maybe I should get a birthday cake full of candles and blow those out.
