It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…counting my winnings in a different way since I didn’t lose any money in the Mega Million jackpot because I didn’t play. Once again, my mom’s lucky numbers turned out to be not so lucky. She actually hand printed them out on a piece of paper. Cut it out into a just a strip of numbers and wrapped it in scotch tape and told me to put it into my wallet so that whenever the jackpot got really big, she would give me a couple bucks and say go play the numbers. She passed on a few years ago but I still have that strip of paper that has held up well with her winning numbers in my wallet. For a while there I would continue the tradition of playing the numbers anytime the jackpot got to a substantial amount. That was until this recent jackpot that really turned out to be super substantial, but I did make an effort. The day of the drawing for the billion dollars I parked my car at one of the many locations that was willing to take my two dollars for a chance to dream for a few hours and walked in. I immediately walked out when I saw a line filled with many other dreamers stretching past the registers that extended too far down to see the end. So, while I didn’t get to dream, I did save my two bucks. Add that to all the other two dollars saved and I had enough to buy a six pack. You know, considering there was no winner since April 15th that adds up to a lot of two-dollar bills. Hell, I should have bought a 12 pack.
