It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

… and didn’t Billy Joel once sing” it’s still Heinz Field to me” or something like that? Tell you what, from the widespread reaction in Yinzer nation I don’t think too many people would disagree that whatever the name change it will always be Heinz field. Sort of typecast like Star Lake. When I first heard of the company who bought the naming rights to the Steelers stadium, I kept hearing the word aqua. Hey after more than a few years in radio, my hearing may not be as sharp as it once was. I’m thinking Aqua what? Aquaman?  What scuba company in the burg has the kind of money to get the naming rights to Heinz field? I finally had a chance to look on the internet and realize I wasn’t hearing Aqua but ACRI. ACRISURE. Now I’m real confused. Who’s ACRISURE? Well, it’s nobody in Pittsburgh is the only “sure” part I got. Turns out there in Michigan, I heard steeler fans traveled well but this is ridiculous. Turns out ACRISURE is an insurance broker which I don’t think is like Geico or the Liberty kind of insurance, but I could be wrong. One thing for sure the Heinz ketchup bottles on the scoreboard won’t be replaced with an Emus or Gecko. Could you imagine Flo staring down at us during games? Course I think Mayhem looking down could make the opponents a bit uneasy, especially with Renegade blasting over the speakers. Oh well, time marches on with or without me. Course it could be a bit confusing for Yinzer’s fans across the country when they hear the network boys say the Steelers are playing in ACRISURE stadium. I can hear a few fans snickering and wondering whose team plays in that stadium. Like Billy Joel sang, “it’s still Heinz Field to me.”
