It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…and I saw the headline, will Burger King get a Michelin star? I’m thinking okay what does a tire company have to do with a burger joint getting a star and for what? Are they saying their burgers are like rubber? I guess I have a lot to learn. After a little research I found out that the French tire Company back in 1900 published a Michelin guide to help increase demand for cars and accordingly their car tires. The guide would be used to give suggestions as to where to go and visit while tooling around in the brand-new mode of transportation at the time, the gas-powered horseless carriage. Well the guide apparently grew in popularity as much as the horseless carriage did and is now a prestigious source of information. It turns out that to be recognized by the Michelin guide with a Michelin Star is a high and respected honor. So last month Burger King in Belgium started lobbying for a star as a marketing stunt for its new Angus burger. Well their wish has come true. The Michelin guide sent two reviewers to Burger King, totally anonymously, to review the food. Finally, they do have one thing in common even though I’m really stretching here… it takes two hands to handle a Whopper and a Tire.
