It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…and the legend of the Duck continues to grow with each passing week. The undrafted practice squad rookie quarterback from Samford whose claim to fame up until this point was winning a duck calling contest. It wasn’t a Picasso but what do you want from a duck that turns 3 starts into 3 wins and in back to back weeks beating the oppositions number one draft picks. Did I mention undrafted practice squad rookie from Samford, not Stanford, Samford a small college somewhere in what Skynyrd calls sweet home where the skies are so blue. But yesterday he ruffled the Cardinal’s feathers and did just enough for the Steelers to pull out another win in Arizona and in front of 40 thousand terrible towel waving Steelers fans. The Duck even has a knack for drawing pass interference calls in keeping drives alive to waddling for 1st down yardage. Can’t say enough about wide receiver Diontae Johnson who had two touchdowns one from the duck and another on an 85 yard punt return. The Defense continued to dominate coming up with timely turnovers. Joe Hayden had two interceptions the 2nd ended the game. T.J. Watt had even had in the end zone that prevented an Arizona touchdown on a 4th and 2 when the Cards could have gone for 3 which could have come in real handy at the end of the game. Meanwhile an investigation is underway as to why the Steelers tried a fake punt deep in their own end. Was it the Coach? Was it the Punter? Was their too much bubble gum in special teams coach Danny Smiths mouth? Was Quid Pro Quo involved? Inquiring minds want to know after the Steelers pull another one out and keep their playoff hopes alive going into next Sunday nights showdown against the Bills and final home game of the season at Heinz field.
