… so can we talk Steelers football? I guess Duck goes good with Brownies too but it was the Steelers defense that really had their fill Sunday. Strip. Sack, Fumble that led to 3 points and an interception to seal the deal. No Duck calls were aloud in Heinz Field. I guess stadium officials didn’t get the memo that it was Duck season? In fact they should have a booth selling them at the game. Course you’ll have one Yinzer’ or two blowing it at the wrong time but maybe that’s why the slow start for Pittsburgh after the Browns built a 10 point lead that Cleveland couldn’t hold because they couldn’t figure out the Duck. Delvin Hodges lead Pittsburgh from 10 down to 20 unanswered points before they even knew what hit them. James Washington hauling in 6 of those when he came down in the end zone just covered in brownies too. Even the Duck waddled to a first down in the game. Guess the officials didn’t know what to make of the Duck and called him for off sides on one play. Say what? The quarterback was offside’s? Tomlin even threw the red flag with the usual results but it was a good challenge, so says everyone who doesn’t have the final say on the punt that the Brownies downed at the one yard line. No problem the Duck with a little Benny Snell managed to get out from under their goal posts. Nothing against Brian Switzer who is probably a nice guy but it was nice to see no fair catches and decent returns for a change. If nothing else Benny Snell wins mouth guard of the year which featured little spinning propellers while the Duck becomes just the 3rd Steelers quarterback in the Super bowl era to win each of his first two career starts. He joined Mike Kruczek who did it in 1976 and Big Ben who did it in 2004, Meanwhile the pre-season anointed one, Browns quarterback Bryan Mayfield who found out how hard helmets can be can, go back to Cleveland to protect his house or so the commercial goes. While Pittsburgh who they say, Started it. Finished it too!
