It’s The Kielbasa Kid…

just when you thought a baseball game could take forever yesterdays Steelers game almost took two hours just to get to the half. It definitely wasn’t pretty especially the way it started out with Marukice Pouncy snapping the ball over Mason Rudolph’s head for the Rams first score of the game but the Steelers defense turned out to be the better of the two in what was an old fashion slug it out tough it out football game that even Aquaman couldn’t miss. Jason Momoa was at the game hanging with the 79 Steelers who were being honored before the game. Then the current version honored them by pitching a shutout until the closing seconds of the 3rd and still held the Rams offense to just a field goal and no touchdowns. Got 4 turnovers including a strip sack fumble recovery by Minkah Fitzpatrick that was returned for a touchdown and an interception at the end that sealed the deal by you guessed it, Minkah the turnover king, Fitzpatrick. You know giving up a number one draft choice to get the Miami saftey may just have been a good move for the steelers after all. Whats that 4 straight wins now for the Black and Gold. Mason Rudolph the 9th quarterback since the 1970 nfl afl merger to throw a TD in each of his first seven career games and 2nd steeler to do so. Big ben was the first. And how about that gutsy call by mike Tomlin to go for it on 4th and 1 in on the Rams side of the field and then proceed to eat about 8 minutes of clock. Tomlin even won a challenge in the game that saw an offsides penalty on the kicker? No biggy, Bozwell knocked it through forcing the rams to need a touchdown to win after pulling to within 2. Yeah the game even featured a safety on Rudolph. Starting to become habit with him. How about calling a play that wont require him to drop back into the end zone. That’s where former Penn Hills and Pitt standout Arron Donald and Clay Matthews found him. But yeah talk about a long game that I thought they would still be playing by the time Sunday Night football came around. A game that wasn’t pretty but sitting a 5-4 sure is as they get ready for some Thursday night football to kick off week 11 of the NFL season in Cleveland. Woof woof.
