…nothing like spending a Sunday afternoon not worrying about the Steelers game and being able to take in other games. That’s one of the good things about your favorite team having a bye week. But getting back to back Sundays like this is fun too because the Steelers don’t have another game until Monday night Oct 28th. I might actually do something else besides sit on the couch watching meaningless games. Not sure what that something else is because the wife hasn’t told me yet but if I’m lucky I might get through the whole day without knowing. As for meaningless games I mean unless it’s a game involving an AFC North opponent to root against and even then I’m not quite as fixated as I am when the Steelers are on. You know there was a time when my life didn’t revolve around Steelers football. I know to say that today sounds like blasphemy but it’s true. Then Pittsburgh started winning championships, terrible towels started to fly, tailgates before games became a lifestyle and I haven’t been the same since and I hope there is no cure.
