It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

and we are a nation that loves our Duct Tape. A Whopping 88% of us say that when something breaks in the home our first instinct is to reach for the Duct Tape. It really does hold the world together? It really does and even makes for a good patch. I have an old chair in front of my computer at home that is being held together by duct tape. The chairs super comfortable and I’m not getting rid of it despite my wife calling it disgusting because after years of siting in it I’ve worn a few holes into it so I covered them with duct tape. We’ve got an above ground pool in our back yard that we’ve had for 25 years and never had to change the liner. My wife claims it’s because we always used Bacquacil and not chlorine, she claims its not as abrasive or something. Either way the liner is in great shape but there is one two-foot section at the top that started to slip down from the molding. So, my wife got some blue waterproof duct tape and fixed it. A study revealed that 51% of Americans currently have duct tape holding something together in their house while one and three or 37% are using it to patch up something on or in their car. Too bad you can’t use it to fix a hole in the exhaust of the car. I remember a time when I was a young struggling DJ and took a soup can and a wire coat hanger and wrapped it around the pipe with the hole. Hey it worked for about a week but I digress. Duct tape. From patching up a broken toilet seat to keeping a laptop in one piece, Duct Tape, really does hold the world together.
