It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…and it’s madness I tell you!  March Madness! And it got underway with play in games last night and my formula to pick the winners has me at 2-0. You know after all these years of reading about all the teams which started by grabbing as many newspapers as possible to just going on live to various websites today and analyzing each game to see which, if any team had a chance to be this years Cinderella team was work. But I did it anyway thinking I would have the edge but only to see my bracket blown up before the first weekend was over. So, my perfect formula this year is simple. Flip a coin!. Heads the top seeded team. Tails the lower seeded team . So far so good. Their are two more games tonight then the real action starts tomorrow when the round of 64 begins. That’s when my wife will freak out because Young and the Restless will be replaced by as she puts it, Squeaky Shoes. This years games will be extra special for folks who like to wager on games because the Supreme Court pretty much legalized sports betting in America. Of course, not every state has taken advantage of this ruling. In fact out of the 50, 8 states will let its citizens partake in wagering including Pennsylvania. So, probably for the first time in our lives we can be filling out their brackets and losing our hard-earned money … legally. Now if you’re in an office pool is that illegal? Probably, not but you still have to work with some who knows how to put one together. I did that one year and will never do it again because it’s too much work. Not so much making copies of the brackets which you can find on line everywhere. It’s keeping track of all the winners and losers because it’s just no fun especially if your bracket was blown up after the first day of competition. Here you are with no interest anymore while the person down the hall is gloating about all the teams he’s still got alive in the tournament.. Now that’s Madness!
