It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

a guy in California was ticketed for speeding not once but twice and in just 11 minutes. He was first stopped around noon a week ago today doing 90 plus miles per hour. Then 11 minutes later he was stopped going 103 miles per hour. I remember a time when you just couldn’t just drive off after you got caught speeding. Twice on two different occasions back in the 70’s I was caught speeding on the interstate in Ohio and had to follow the trooper back to the barracks to pay the fine. I guess I’m lucky I had cash on me. The first time it was on I-77 outside of Marietta, Ohio and the other time on I-70 outside of Zanesville, Ohio and both times I had to go back to the barracks to pay the fine. My last speeding ticket was was about 10 years ago and I didn’t have the pedal to the metal in fact I was coasting but I guess too fast down a hill in a residential area where the speed limit was 25 and the sign said Speed Strictly Enforced. I guess so. I must have been coasting 35-40 when I saw the cop parked on a side street up the hill and as soon as I passed he pulled out of his parking spot and pulled up right behind me at the traffic light. As soon as I pulled away he flipped his lights on…busted. But back to the guy caught speeding twice in 11 minutes, maybe the cop took too long to write the first ticket and he really needed to speed go get to where he was going. Obviously that plan didn’t work out too well.
