…so were you among the 100 thousand families in western Pa. that had the high winds knock your power out yesterday? Is there is anything that makes you feel more helpless than having the power go out. No lights, no television, no radio unless you’ve got batteries. And your cell phone is only as good as the next charge. Believe me when we lost power yesterday I thought about going out to the car and getting a recharge if necessary. And how about breaking out the candles to light up the rooms and still finding yourself trying reaching for the light switch. It was when I started to walk around with the kerosene lantern that made me feel like i was camping but without the camp fire. Makes you appreciate what folks that came before us had to deal with before electricity until you realize, how can you miss something you never had. Power outage? What’s a power outage?
