It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…and tonight at 11:41 a Super Blood Wolf Moon will be prowling the ski for most of the country to see and a rare one at that. It’s the last blood moon for two years that will give the lunar surface a reddish color and at the same time the moon will be slight closer to Earth than normal and appear slightly bigger and brighter than usual. In January, the full moon is also sometimes known as the wolf moon or Great Spirit moon because in Native American and early Colonial times according to the Old Farmers Almanac, it appeared when wolves howled in hunger outside the villages. These three terms have been combined to form a long winded nickname for tonight’s lunar eclipse which should last for at least an hour. But there are two things that might keep you inside tonight. One, the forecast is calling for cloudy skies and two it’s going to be a bit chilly with temperatures in the single digits along with a howling wind chill of minus 11. But then again, while the forecast for this weekends winter storm didn’t quite live up to the hype business was good at the grocery store and I still have to break out the shovel. So, good luck if you plan to look for the Super Blood Wolf Moon tonight.
