It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…so, how’s that New Years resolution going for you now that we’re entering week 2 of trying to keep your agreement to do what ever to planned to give up or achieve this year. I should say achieve since lent is the season of giving up things and in case your wondering, lent begins on Ash Wednesday which is March 6th and will end on April 18th. I think trying to keep your New Years resolution is harder than giving something up for Lent only because there is a beginning and end to the Lenten season while committing to a New Years resolution means sticking to something all year long. Of course, there’s no Catholic guilt involved in ending a New Year’s resolution and theirs so much more involved in the Lenten season like not eating meat on Friday. And why is fish not considered meat? Because it doesn’t live on land like chicken, cows, sheep or pigs. I remember when you couldn’t eat meat on Friday period but it’s no longer a sin today but you gotta wonder if their are guys in Hell still doing time on the meat rap.
