…and its cookie baking season and what’s the best part? Eating or tasting a little of the raw cookie dough, right? Who hasn’t taken the beater from a mixer and licked of the cake mix? Makes me wonder how we all survived since its time once again for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to remind us that it’s not safe to eat raw cookie dough and cake mix and strongly urge us not to do it because of the dreaded E.coli or Salmonella from the raw flour and raw eggs used in the dough. Wow, that’s a new one on me, raw flour. I usually taste it if I add seasoned salt to it for deep fried chicken wings just to make sure it’s not too salty before I coat the chicken but what do I know I’m just a radio announcer. I used to be a DJ but we stopped playing disc’s decades ago. But you know their right you know. I just wonder if I ever got sick from it when I was younger. I don’t remember but you can take it to the bank that I would taste the cookie dough and what was cake mix was left on the beaters when my mom was baking. So yeah avoid the raw stuff even though I can remember my dad cracking open a raw egg in his beer and downing it when I was a kid and he lived to be ah, well…maybe I shouldn’t use him as an example.
