It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

and can you still by those silver artificial Christmas trees with the rotating color wheel that would shine different colors on the silver tree? I’m sorry but I always thought those were the tackiest Christmas trees I ever saw. I think they were the original artificial Christmas trees. Our neighbor had one when I was growing up and was so happy that my parents always had a real tree for Christmas. You would think that would have rubbed off on me too but no, we’ve got an artificial one but its not silver with a rotating color wheel and looks like a real pine. What has become the big seller this holiday season though is the pink Christmas tree. One retailer suggests reusing your tree for Valentines Day. They say you can hang your sweetest decorations like ceramic hearts and create a tree that you and your sweetheart will love. But that would mean leaving your tree up for an extra month. Of course there are some who leave their outdoor Christmas lights up all year long. Gretchen Wilson sang about that in her Redneck Woman song a few years back so why not your Christmas tree. How about taking it a step further. Stay Green for Christmas but get the Pink Tree for Valentines day, then the following month break out the green tree again for St. Patrick’s Day! Then come April break out the Pink Tree for Easter. On second thought this is sounding about as tacky as a silver Christmas tree with or without the color rotating wheel but what do I know because what I think of as tacky could be a redneck wonderland to someone else but kinda waters down the whole idea of having a tree for Christmas.
