Coming in a distant second is Elvis Presley with $40 million. The 10th richest dead celebrity is John Lennon at $12 million. Filling in the gap between Lennon and Elvis is Arnold Palmer, Charles Schultz, Bob Marley, Dr. Seuss, Hugh Hefner, Marilyn Monroe and Prince. But as comedian Haywood Banks once sang “I am older than a lot of famous dead guys , a lot of famous dead guys didn’t live as long as me, oh sure they accomplished more in a lot less time but they are dead and what good does that do you?”
