…and Happy 4th of July. Hopefully your among the 34 percent of Americans who will be taking the nations birthday off. Now the question was asked how many will be going back to work on Thursday or Friday or have you decided to use some vacation time and don’t plan to return until next Monday? That’s was probably the thing to do if you could. I really didn’t put much thought into it and when I do it’s usually too late which means I’ll be back in on the air Thursday morning and from what it looks like business will either be short staffed or staffed with bitter people. I promise not to be bitter. YouGov did a survey that shows 11% of us plan to take Thursday off too and 9% won’t be in on Friday either so their already into the weekend. At least I had a choice to work or not, some folks don’t even get that. There are some, like my brother in law, who has to use a PTO day if he wants it off. Meanwhile how about a salute to those who are manning the convenience stores, fast food joints, car dealerships, bars, restaurants, and grocery stores. Let’s not forget first responders and folks in the health care field. Someone had to pull the short straw and we thank you for that while we try and not hurt ourselves manning the grill and setting off fireworks today.
