…there is no difference between the kids today and the kids of yesterday. The only difference is that the kids today have better toys then the kids of yesterday. Could you imagine having smart phones growing up to record all the stupid stuff that we did and put it on social media? I bring this up because of a story a town in Texas where authorities are having a problem with a new fad. Teenagers jumping off bridges and cops are pleading for them to stop because this bridge goes across Lake Woods and their worried someone may land the wrong way in the water and break something or worst get knocked unconscious and drown. This bridge must be really up their but they say 5 kids have already made the jump although neighbors say it’s a lot more than just 5. Cops say there hasn’t been any injuries yet but have beefed up patrols because they fear they worst. I can see their concern but how do you keep kids from doing stupid stuff especially if they can get it on their face book page. Man, we didn’t have anyway of posting our stupid stuff on social media but that didn’t stop the kids in my neighborhood from being stupid and i’m talking kids too like when we were 9 or 10 years old. There was a gas or water pipe near my home that was 10 to 15 feet off the ground and spanned 4 or 5 yards across this creek that was dry most of the time so no water to break your fall. Yeah we would walk across it like your basic high wire act but instead of a wire it was a pipe about a foot in diameter. I go back home today and look at it and think, god how dumb could you be? Well pretty dumb especially since we didn’t have the toys the kids have today but could you imagine if we did how many likes we could have gotten?
