It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…and apparently the War on Christmas is getting old, and someone somewhere has decided to find a new Boogie Man, Gen Z. The story is that they want to get rid of Santa Claus. Yeah, Gen Z. The folks between the ages of 8 and 23 that have already been unfairly vilified as a generation that is lazy, broke and just sit on their phones while living with mom and dad. Gee, that sounds like me when I was 20 years old but how could that be, I’m from the baby-boom generation. So now the big rumor is that Gen Z parents are refusing to teach their kids bout Santa, claiming it’s traumatizing. Okay you got me their cause what 5-year-old doesn’t believe that “he sees you when you’re sleeping and knows when you’re awake. He knows if you’ve been bad or good”. Talk about traumatizing. I would spend the whole month of December reflecting on what I had done during the past year. So, when I read that Gen Z won’t be telling their kids about St. Nick, I thought how they could since they don’t have any kids. Okay not all but according to everything that I’ve read more and more young adults which also includes millennials are opting out of having children and that there is a real possibility for a child free generation. New University of California out of Irvine did some research on the consequences of that happening which is an entirely different rant. So, the story of Gen Z wanting to get rid of Santa is the real myth just like the War on Christmas but has anyone looked into the Elf on the Shelf?
