… and I’ve been caught speeding 4 times in my life. I don’t count the 4th time because I didn’t intentionally speed. I was coasting down a hill but it was in a residential area and I new it was a bit over the posted limit of 25 mph but didn’t think I would get pulled over but did. The other 3 times happed in Ohio, twice on I-77 outside of Marietta and the other time on I-70 between Columbus and Zanesville. But even then I don’t think I ever went over 100 mph. The cars I used to drive tended to shake whenever I got it past 80. Well, a women in Kansas was recently pulled over for going 149 mph but she told the officer that she thought she was only going 128. Only 128? Even that is more than twice the speed limit in Kansas on I-435 which isn’t like the no speed limit German Autobahn.. “Geeze officer I was only doing 128.” Can’t imagine how much that tickets going to be but I’ll bet it’s a whopper. Meanwhile there was a yahoo in Tullahoma Tennessee who was traveling at 120mph when he made a call to 911 to tell the dispatcher that officers were chasing him and and that they weren’t allowed to pursue him at such high speeds. A Mr. Jack Howard was eventually caught but didn’t say why he was speeding. Oh i don’t know could be to get where he wanted to get to quicker than normal. Just a guess on my part and besides he was only doing 120 mph but the big question is did he make that call on a hands free phone? Safety first.
