It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

and ’tis the season of the “Battle of the Pies” and man do they make an appearance at Thanksgiving. Lemon Meringue, Pumpkin, Chocolate, Vanilla, Peach, Cherry, Strawberry and my favorite whether it’s thanksgiving or not is Apple pie. But which Thanksgiving pie reigns supreme? According to a new yougov.com poll, it’s the tried and true pumpkin pie. 35% of those polled said pumpkin was their favorite kind of pie to eat on Thanksgiving. Personally, I don’t think its the pumpkin as much as it’s the whipped cream you put on top. I mean pumpkin pie without whipped cream, for me at least, not so great. I mean take the pumpkin roll, if not for the cream cheese it’s made with would it be as good? I think not. But maybe I just don’t get the whole pumpkin craze. I mean every year its pumpkin beer, pumpkin latte’s, pumpkin cereal, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin this pumpkin that. To be honest the whole pumpkin craze just escapes me. Although I do like pumpkin seeds but maybe that’s because they don’t taste like pumpkin and you don’t need whipped cream to enjoy them. I’m just saying…and speaking of the “Battle of the Pies”. I wonder if any have ever become more than just desert during a Thanksgiving argument? “Who threw that Pie?”
