It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

and can we talk Steelers football? Is that alright? You know usually whenever the Browns would converge on the Rivers three dark clouds would follow and yesterday was no exception. While the clouds were greyer then dark it managed to blot out the sun by kickoff. If anything the Steelers made sure that it would be a darker day for Cleveland than Pittsburgh. The first sign was the coming out party for Steelers Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick who set the tone early with his first interception of the year that turned into a 33 yard pick 6. Steelers Wide Receiver Chase Claypool picked up where he left off last week making unbelievable plays. One was a 36 yard reception that made you wonder if his hands were really just magnets for the football. James Conner ran wild while the Steelers defense actually drew a holding call, yeah it was only one but maybe it will be a start. Of course the official’s evened things out when they called a ticky-tacky offensive pass interference on Eric Ebron that could have kept a Steelers drive alive. It was nice to see Mason Rudolph get a chance to use the victory formation in front of Browns linebacker Myles Garrett who assaulted Rudolph with a helmet last season but to see coach Tomlin actually give Garrett a hug before the game not so much. Even if it looked like Garret was giving a peace offering Tomlin didn’t have to hug him and besides isn’t that against Covid protocol? Maybe the darkest part of the game was when the Turf Monster reportedly ended Devin Bush’s season to a torn ACL. But the Steelers improve to 5-0 for the first time since 1978 and in front of 5,260 fans, yep 240 no shows. You know Pittsburgh’s got a real good chance to be 6-0 before they face their first real big challenge which would be in Baltimore but they have to get through Tennessee who is also 5-0 which wont be easy but its because of the Titans Pittsburgh had to use their bye week early while the Ravens get the week off so the Steelers should go into Tennessee with bit of a chip on their shoulder as for Dallas, hell even Cleveland beat Dallas.
