It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

..and you know I don’t think it’s a good idea to be around a lot of people during a pandemic but that’s just me and it’s what the health professionals have been preaching. But you know I’ll bet having a few fans in the stands wont hurt considering you’re in an open air stadium with more than enough seats to social distance. Just weird watching the Steelers in an empty stadium that at one point Charlie Batch had the tweet of the day “The fans are stunned. You can hear a pin drop inside Heinz Field right now. Is it too early to start wondering where Minkah Fitzpatrick is after 3 games or are teams avoiding him, especially after Houston drives 75 yards in just 50 seconds to answer a Steelers td with one of their own before the half. Thankfully it was the Steelers D that answered the call and shut the Texans down in the second half. Do you believe they held Houston to just 29 rushing yards all day? Mike Hilton comes up with the spark the Steelers needed with an interception that leads to the Steelers go ahead touchdown by James Connor which they capped off with a two point conversion by Ju Ju. Mike Tomlin who never wins challenges should have won one on a Big Ben scramble for a 1st down but what do I know. I love watching that Ray Ray McCloud returning kicks. One started with him almost getting his head knocked off but shook it off, held on to the ball and took off for 12 yards. Rookie Chase Claypool gets a huge first down and is lucky he didn’t fumble the ball into the end zone which would have given the Texans new life but instead the ball went out of bounds before the goal line. The Steelers get into their victory formation and improve to 3-0 for the first time since 2010 when they went to the super bowl. TJ and Derek win the Watt bowl but it was two against one with their brother JJ playing for the Texans which the the announcers made sure we knew at every opportunity. It gets a little tougher next week when Pittsburgh travels to Tennessee who also survived a scare but beat the Vikings 31-30 to improve to 3-0. And speaking of 3’s the Steelers are already 3 point dogs.
