… and with the Summer of 2020 officially underway the time for summer reading is in full swing or is it? To be honest I’m not much of a book reader unless you count comic books and I don’t think they do but according to the latest Pew research I’m among the 27% of adults in the U.S. that say they haven’t read a book in the past year. What about you, when was the last time you read a book? And do you read more in the summer? And why is that? Is it because Summer was traditionally the time of nothing but re runs on TV or the fact that it used to be rough watching TV while you were spending more time out doors lounging around because of the nice weather? Well, thanks to the smart phone there’s not much you can’t watch on TV anywhere outdoors and makes me wonder if that may be the reason for the decline in book readership. I mean why read the comic book when I can dial up the latest Avengers movie on my phone.
