It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…so how stress full is it to just get out of the house in the morning? Well, Lyle’s Golden Syrup asked that question and came up with 10 of the greatest causes for morning stress and none of the reasons listed had anything to do with work or your morning commute but instead it all boiled down to having kids. Now I was a parent of two that are no longer kids but I can see why some of the reasons given could be kid related and out of the 10 only two were not listed as kid related but I could make a case that all 10 can be kid related and I don’t necessarily put one over the other. For instance one of the ten listed that causes stress is setting the snooze alarm. I say hitting the snooze button for that extra 9 minutes so you don’t have to deal with the kids right away. Another reason for stress in the morning is kids having a tantrum. I can see that. Another reason given for stress in the morning is getting yourself ready for the day. Well, if it wasn’t for the kids, you probably would be ready already? The 7th thing that could be the reason for your stress in the morning is getting the kids to put on their shoes. Another reason for stress according to the Lyle’s Golden Syrup question was kids eating breakfast, well unless you’ve got a mess to clean up then what’s the big deal. Another morning stress causer according to the Lye’s Golden Syrup survey was brushing their teeth or is it making sure the kids brush their teeth, this survey wasn’t too specific. Getting kids to leave the house on time was another listed but that would depend how stressful it was to deal with the already mentioned which would include kids getting dressed. And finally getting the kids out of bed in the morning was listed as stressful which could be related back to the first thing on the list and that was hitting the snooze alarm to delay the inevitable. But if you think kids cause stress, wait till they become teenagers and your going to work only to see your daughter in your wife’s van at a stop light when she should be in school.
