It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

can we talk Steelers’ football? Is that all right? First off let me say that it was nice to see the Miami Dolphins beat the New England Patriots in their own back yard to prevent them from getting a week off. Instead they will play host to Tennessee and not Pittsburgh next week in New England. Now why was the Steelers Ravens game flexed again? Oh yeah, score board watching cause the Texans had to beat the Titans for Pittsburgh to make the playoffs. Of course the Steelers had to hold up there end of the deal and beat the Ravens. You know going into the game I thought, “Perfect weather if you’re a duck” but apparently duck season also ended a few games ago. Even the defense that kept them in so many games this season looked defeated. But hey what a ride the Steelers nation got. You lose your starting quarterback in game two then your back up quarterback that gave rise to Duck Mania! How many other teams could keep it together and manage to be in the playoff conversation all the way to the last game of the season. Kudos to head coach Mike Tomlin for not losing the team. Kudos for the trade that brought Minkah Fitzpatrick to the team that provided a spark for a defense that was real instrumental in putting the Steelers to be in the position they found themselves in the final game of the 2019 season. But in the end any extension of the season was washed away like the Monsoon the Steelers played in. Just goes to show how important having a franchise quarterback like Big Ben really is to a football team and losing him early like that was just too much to overcome. But he claims he’ll be back so here’s to 2020 which has the potential to be huge!
