It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

the voice of the Steelers Bill Hillgrove once said that Steelers Ravens games should not be played at 1 pm on Sunday but rather at midnight in a dark alley. Talk about brutal. It was another knock out drag out battle unfortunately for Pittsburgh it was the Steelers who got knocked out and quite possibly while its still early, out of playoff contention. They lose in overtime, lose their starting quarterback who was the teams back up to Big Ben, Mason Rudolph who was knocked unconscious but was able to eventually walk off the field with a little help because the cart that was to take him off the field had to be carted off. Talk about Brutal. I think the Steelers must have the best back up quarterbacks in the league because Masons backup Delvin Hodges played well but once again a fumble sealed the deal only this time it wasn’t James Conner leaving the ball on the turf but Ju Ju Smith Shuster who brought back memories of his fumble in the Big Easy that cost them the game and put a severe dent in any playoff hopes at that point in the season. Of course some yinzer’s will ride him for partying at IUP last week while nursing a bum toe but maybe he should have stayed home an played Fortnight instead. Maybe the officials should have stayed home and watch video too because they seemed to not know right from wrong that both benefited and hurt each team. So unless Mason is a quick healer from a concussion the Steelers will be taking their 1 and 4 record with them to LA for a Sunday night game against the Chargers with their 3rd string quarterback making his first NFL start. Yeah it looks pretty dim from this armchair quarterback but I ain’t heard no fat lady sing. Let’s just hope we don’t start to hear her warming up the vocal cords anytime soon.
