It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

and I hate to fly. Actually, I think it’s the anxiety of worrying about flying that I hate because the experience is usually pleasant. No, it’s the thoughts of what if. What if something goes wrong especially when you read stories about the 737 Max planes that were grounded but not until two deadly crashes and even then there was a delay in actually grounding the planes to fix the problem. Now word comes that the earliest the 737 Max will be back on line is June if you fly United. Southwest Airlines has removed Max jet from its schedule through August 5 and American through August 19. But when they come back on line will you? Will passengers trust that Boeing has fixed the problem that at first there was no advisory from Boeing or the FAA that the planes should have been grounded? A Georgetown business school professor Thomas Cooke told Mashable he thinks any reluctance will be “short-lived,” at least for a few months, but that the concerns will soon fade. He compared it to Chipotle’s issues a few years back with several instances of food-borne illness that harmed its reputation and business. But customers returned and Chipotle became known as one of the safer places in terms of food safety because of the scrutiny and oversight that was required to repair their problems. Ah, I still don’t go to Chipotle and I haven’t flown since 1996 but would if I had to but since I don’t have to I wont. Yeah I know flying is the safest way to travel but I hate those thoughts of, What if….
