It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…and to be honest with you, I thought I saw the two best teams in football play yesterday in New Orleans. And I thought the Steelers were the better team because the only thing that stopped the Steelers was the Steelers, oh and a few questionable calls. They ref’s were handing out gifts like Christmas had already arrived. One resulted in the Saints 1st touchdown after calling a phantom pass interference call on Joe Haden in the end zone that CBS rules analyst Gene Steratore said shouldn’t have been a penalty. Then there was another phantom penalty on a 4th and 2 that would have giving the Steelers the Ball back but instead helped complete the go ahead touchdown in the 4th quarter. Word is the crew that worked the game has a reputation of penalizing the road team more than the home team. But talk about big plays from the Steelers Defense with Sean Davis picking off Drew Bree’s in the end zone. Pressure on Brees who was sacked twice. To a blocked field goal from the Steelers Special Teams and their offense putting up 28 points on a Saints team that hadn’t allowed more than 17 points in their last 6 games. But a fake punt that failed hurt which on the other hand if it would have worked we would have been saying what a great call. Even Rosy Nix thought he had the 1st down but instead it lead to the Saints getting the go ahead touchdown. But with plenty of time on the clock for Pittsburgh to win or tie the game. It looked like they were up to the challenge until a completion to Ju Ju Smith-Schuster was fumbled away and in Bowswell’s range who by the way didn’t miss a thing yesterday. So the Saints killed the clock and will go into the post season with home-field advantage throughout the playoffs while the Steelers need to beat the Bengals at Heinz field and hope the Browns beat the Ravens in Baltimore Sunday. Oh and in their infinite wisdom the NFL decided to have both the Steeler and Raven games kick off at the same time, 4:25 Sunday afternoon. My poor blood pressure.
