It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

and you know before the Steelers and Raiders game even started Pittsburgh knew the Texans and Patriots lost then got the Trifecta when the Ravens losing to the Chiefs in overtime and suddenly found themselves in the driver’s seat for playoff positioning facing a team that only had two wins all season. Win and they would be sitting pretty with New England coming to town next week but instead they slipped up just like the Wizard of Boz did on what should have been a game tying field goal. I guess he didn’t see Switzer slipping on that turf all afternoon long but then again I think the turf is the least of Bozwells problems this season after missing a field goal earlier and also hitting the upright on an extra point which was good. It’s not like the Raiders weren’t trying to win the game either with over 100 yards in penalties by the time less than a minute ticked off the clock in the fourth quarter. A quarter in which we eventually saw the return of Big Ben who was a spectator for most of the 2nd half due to what was reportedly a rib injury. That happened before he threw a touchdown pass to Ju Ju whose tip toe catch in the back of the end-zone gave Pittsburgh the lead just before the half. If Ben was good enough to come back into the game with just 5 minutes to play and go 6 for 6 on a 70 yard touchdown on what looked like a game winning drive why didn’t he come in sooner?  You let the Raiders hang around, hang around and hang around and the next thing you know they come up with their own game winning drive. Instead of Ben getting his first win in the only NFL stadium he has yet to win in but now with New England coming to town next Sunday we’ve got to sit around all week and listen to how Brady and Belichick never lose back to back games. It doesn’t get any easier either because the Steelers have to travel to New Orleans to face the Saints. Although Pittsburgh seems to do better against more good teams than bad. Either way after yesterdays loss I cant seem to get that Paul Simon song out of my head, something about Slip sliding away.
