It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

… and the only thing missing from yesterday’s game was Skyline Chili which would’ve been safe to eat since you’d have a week to get over the heartburn that comes with it since the Steelers are entering there bye week. Tell you what if the Steelers didn’t stage another dramatic come from behind win yesterday I would have had heartburn anyhow going into a bye week with more questions than answers. How huge was yesterday’s game? First they finally get a win against an AFC opponent but not only that but one against a division rival, not only that but one who still leads the division but not by quite so much and now has the Steelers in the drivers seat which could help down the stretch if they beat Cincinnati when they come to Pittsburgh at the end of the season because will own the tie breaker. That’s right the Steelers host the Bengals on Dec 30th. Man the way the game started you would have thought it was Vance McDonald day. The tight end was getting open for big plays and big runs after the play. How about the scoring in the 1st half being all Pitt all the time with both Tyler Boyd and James Conner scoring two touchdowns each for Pittsburgh and Cincinnati?  Course James should have had another when he landed on the goal line with the ball but instead it’s first and goal literally at the goal line and yeah they should have challenged the call but they should have scored a TD. Three straight times from the one inch line and no touchdown?  No excuse, Speaking of James, think LeVeon Bell is going to have trouble getting some playing time? Do you care? Talk about mayhem when Conner gets the ball in the secondary, they need everyone and their uncle to bring the man down. Course I would be remiss if I didn’t mention at least one dirty play by Cincinnati’s Vontaz Burfict who should have been flagged for his elbow hit on AB on a tackle that also included a helmet to helmet issued by Sean Williams that send AB to the sideline for a play but the officials missed that one. You know they should have at least one official eyeing Burfict only because his M.O. is playing dirty. Kick coverage sucked and had me worried after the Steelers scored the go ahead TD and 2 point conversion that the Bungals would take one to the house to force overtime with 10 seconds left but the Wizard of Boz found the end zone on the kickoff forcing Cincinnati to start their game winning drive at the 25 which thankfully went nowhere. Speaking of Boz, nice to see he made the extra points yesterday but I never thought I would be worried he might miss a game winning field goal which was so automatic last year. But thanks to AB’s game winning TD and Ju Ju’s two point conversion the Steelers go into the bye week at 3-2-1 in 3rd place in the AFC north with a week off to get ready for games against Cleveland and Baltimore and all of a sudden everything is good in the world again and maybe some Skyline Chili will be in order when the Bengals come to Pittsburgh in December or maybe I should just order a Primanti sandwich with a side of Periogi’s and a cold Iron? It’s a ‘burg thing, you know?
