It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…kids say the darndest thing was originally a segment on a show called Art Linkletter’s House Party that ran from 1952 to 1969 on CBS. Linkletter would interview school children between the ages of five and ten and was the shows best remembered segment. My grandson Gavin who is four years old has been saying the darndest things ever since he learned how to talk. Last week my wife Val let him ride his peddle go cart in our driveway while waiting for his older brother Adden to come down the street from the school bus stop. So Val decides to step out on to the street to see if she could see him and tell whether or not he was coming down the side of the street that he was told to come down. That’s when the four year old yells to my wife that she shouldn’t stand in the middle of the street unless she’s wearing bright cloths and that she wasn’t wearing bright cloths. So he decides to give her some advice and said, “If you see a car coming, take your shirt off so that they can see you!” Kids say the darndest things.
