…she’s a Pens fan and her winning percentage is better then the Caps. You may have seen her behind the glass during the Pens Capitals game and former Goalie Kevin Weekes turned NHL reporter tweeted, “C’mon, can’t be knitting at an NHL Stanley Cup Playoff game”. Well she tweeted back “I knit at the 2009 Cup Final game 7 in Detroit. I knit where I want”. That was the game the Pens won the Cup. The Maryland woman said she knits for stress relief and mostly socks because their so portable and helps her enjoy the game and doesn’t diminish her focus. She used to get angry over bad plays or calls by the refs but now she’s able to focus and doesn’t need to look at her knitting to watch the Pens who should figure out a way to have her behind the glass for game 6 too!
