It’s like Déjà vu all over again…

…but then again not quite. It’s just that the name Adam Graves has resurfaced again now that Sidney Crosby has been sidelined for game 4 and possible the rest of the series with the Washington Capitals after suffering a concussion from a crosscheck to the back of  his head by Capitals Defenseman Matt Niskanen. Back when the guys on the ice today were either in diapers or in the case of Sidney going to pre school whichh was in 1992 their was this dude who played for the New York Rangers named Adam Graves who slashed Pens superstar Mario Lemuiex in the 2nd game of the Division Semi Finals and broke his hand sending Mario to the bench for the rest of their series with the Rangers. Unlike Graves who was suspended 4 games Niskanen won’t ‘see any disciplinary action at all. The Pens lost that game in ’92 but went on to win the series without Mario in 6 games. Mario returned for the Conference finals with a plastic cast on his hand and the Pens went on to sweep the Bruins in 4 and then the Blackhawks in 4 to win the cup that year. Unlike Mario, I don’t think Sidney can return with a plastic cast on his head so that’s why I say “it’s like Déjà vu all over again but then again not quite.” Lets Go Pens!
