It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…and just in time for Memorial Day, a new survey (done on behalf of Ford) found that when it comes to travel, most Americans would rather take a road trip. According to survey respondents, 73% feel driving to your destination is a much better experience than flying. In fact, the average American would be willing to add six and a half hours to their travel time if it meant they could avoid the airport and plane and drive instead. The plus-sides of road-trippin’, according to survey respondents are the Scenic views and being able to stop whenever you want and being able to pack whatever you want I think the longest road trip my wife ever took, before the kids ever arrived was when I worked in Charlottesville Va. We drove to a Who concert in Hampton VA  where we spent the night then drove back toward Charlottesville on on our way to the Gatlinburg Tennessee and the Great Smokey Mountains where we spent a few days before heading north to Cleveland Ohio for a couple more days before heading back to Charlottesville and survived but then again it was the two of us. We didn’t have to deal with the “are we there yet” to “I gotta pee” then after getting back on the road only to hear “I gotta poop” which we got to experience but by then the trips were a little shorter but if we did take any long excursions it was at night. Less traffic plus the kids slept through the trip.
