It’s the Kielbasa Kid…

…with another segment of I Can’t Believe I Did It Again! I went to pay for a prescription the other day and noticed my bank card wasn’t in my wallet which would normally mean I left it in the bank ATM again. I say normally because I’ve gotten more than one phone call from the bank telling me that I left my card in the ATM…. again? No, this time I apparently left it in the chip reader at a Get Go Express, at least that’s where I thought was the last place I used, this past Sunday. So, Monday is when I realized it was missing and went back to the Get Go to ask if anyone turned it in and found out no one did. I start thinking, I really did it now….someones got my card and their using it. So I immediately called the bank and they confirmed that Get Go was the last place my card was used and they cancelled it. Which means I wont have to start worry about leaving my card behind again until Friday when they said the new one should be in the mail. You know its one thing to go downstairs to get something only to forget what you came downstairs for which means you have to go back upstairs to remember what you went downstairs for.  I actually knew someone who liked that feeling, but this business about me leaving my bank card behind is crazy. It’s the only card that I use that I forget to put back in my wallet. Not the other cards mine you, just the bank card. So far I’ve been lucky and don’t even want to think about the day my luck runs out and see it was used for who knows what to buy. Sure, you can’t draw cash from it without knowing the pin number but that wont stop you from using it at a self serve checkout somewhere. Course considering my bank balance, whoever uses it will probably get a reading of something like, insufficient funds.
