…so how many times are you riding along and see some jag off do something on the highway and the first thing that goes through your mind is, “why isn’t there a cop around when you need one?” That happened to me on my way into the station. It’s like 3:30 in the morning and I’m cruising down a two-lane highway with the cruise control set at a speed which apparently doesn’t agree with the guy driving the car behind me. Mind you I’m driving down a two-lane highway with a double yellow line down the middle of the road which means no passing. Well, that was the answer on my drivers test many moons ago but I guess it wasn’t one of the questions on the exam for the driver behind me because he proceeds to gun it and passes me anyhow leaving a cloud of dust behind. I don’t want to say I got the last laugh and no he wasn’t stopped by a cop because like I said there is never one around when you need one. No, he was stopped by the traffic light that just happened to be bright red. Guess that question was on his drivers test. It was at that moment I could feel a little Karma settling in because there he was sitting at the light waiting for it to turn green so he could turn left while I pulled up right beside him, stopped for a moment, should have honked but you know I don’t wanna rub it in, then turned right on red this time leaving him in a cloud of dust. Yeah it felt good.
